Dr. Fabio Feldman has been the Manager, Seniors Falls and Injury Prevention for the Fraser Health Authority since September 2006. He has been involved in the development and implementation of Falls Prevention initiatives in acute care, long term care facilities, and community. Many of these initiatives have been adopted by other health authorities through Canada.

Dr. Feldman has a BSc in Kinesiology and a PhD in the area of biomechanics at Simon Fraser University. His research is mainly focus on prevention of falls and hip fractures. Fabio has published his work in many scientific journals and has also presented his work in international conferences in the USA, Australia, Brazil, and Canada.

Dr. Feldman was awarded with the Michael Smith Foundation’s Senior Graduate Studentship from 2005 to 2007 and in 2006 he received the Young Investigator Award from the Canadian Society of Biomechanics.

Crystal Stranaghanis the author of 7 published picture books for children, numerous early reader chapter books for ESL markets, several non-fiction titles for adults, and has worked as a publisher, editor, book designer, publishing consultant and creative writing mentor on numerous projects.

In addition to her writing career, Crystal is trained as a health psychologist, having completed a BA from Simon Fraser University with a double major in English and Psychology, and a Masters degree in Health Psychology from the National University of Ireland. She has taught groups ranging in age from pre-school students to adults on topics including: writing, web-marketing, publishing, wellness, goal setting, stress management, the business of making books and a variety of health related topics. Her passion is combining her love of books and storytelling with health and wellness issues.

Izabela Bzymek has illustrated numerous books for children.

She is also a writer, animator, director, and producer of animated films including: Playtime, Loco Melones (1st place at the AMD animation festival) and directed/animated Oma’s Quilt for the National Film Board of Canada. She has also worked on several feature films such as Happily N’Ever After, The Nutty Professor and was the lead animator in the JibberJabber TV series.
